FT Island ~ Introductions!

Okay! So! This is FT Island.

Song Seunghyun (bias! <3)

-vocalist/guitarist/rapper

-born August 21, 1992 (one of the two maknaes)

In 2009, it was announced that former vocalist/guitarist/rapper Oh Won Bin would be leaving FT Island; Seunghyun was his replacement. He, along with leader Jonghun, has helped compose many of FT Island’s songs. Seunghyun is the most 4D member of the band~ this can be seen in the videos he made with Jaejin and Minhwan, Good Morning Bob (episode 1, episode 2, episode 3, episode 4 part 1 and episode 4 part 2) which are quite honestly must-watch videos as they are hilarious. He is an occasional model. He was also a part of the show Maknae Rebellion in 2010, along with Jinwoon from 2AM, Dongho from U-Kiss, Yunhwa from T-Max and Shorry J from Mighty Mouth. <3

Lee Jaejin

-vocalist/bassist

-born December 17, 1991

Jaejin is the second vocalist in the group. He has the voice of an angel~ in 2009, he was cast in the musical Sonagi; his part was previously played by Big Bang’s Seungri. He had a minor part in the 2007 drama Unstoppable Marriage. <3

Choi Minhwan

-drummer

-born November 11, 1992 (other maknae)

Minhwan is the real maknae of the group by three months, although Seunghyun is widely considered to be the maknae because Minhwan generally acts more mature. <3 He is adorable and is an excellent drummer. He made his acting debut in 2009 with a minor role in the drama The Road Home. <3

Lee Hongki

-lead vocalist

-born March 2, 1990

Hongki is the most popular member of the group. He is very well-known for his voice, which is gorgeous. He is also renowned for his acting; before joining FT Island he was a child actor, later playing the role of Lysander in a stage version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. After taking a five-year break, he came back as Jeremy in the drama You’re Beautiful and won an SBS New Star award for his role. He is currently acting in a Japanese drama, Muscle Girl. He is hilarious and is occasionally extremely snarky, especially on variety shows. He was a regular member of the variety show Oh! My School/100 Points out of 100. He is also a member of Heechul’s famous Chocoball group. <3

Choi Jonghun

-leader/lead guitarist/keyboardist

-born March 7, 1990

Jonghun is hands down one of the most attractive men in kpop. <3 He, along with Seunghyun, is also a frequent composer/lyricist of many of FT Island’s songs. Also with Seunghyun, he modeled at the 2009 Seoul Fashion Week for Lee Ju Young. Jonghun will make his acting debut in the upcoming movie You’re My Pet, starring Jang Geun Suk. Along with Hongki, he is a member of Super Junior’s Heechul’s Chocoball group. <3

Most of the Japanese releases are single albums, so don’t be too daunted, there’s not as many songs as it seems~ most of the singles are on Five Treasure Island, so that’s a good place to start. So Long, Au Revoir is their other full album, so that’s a good one to download as well~
